Implementation of innovative technological solutions to reduce raw material dependency in the EU and the introduction of  clearer and more effective minerals policies seem to be one of the two major  challenges in the EU mineral policy debate. Some EU Member States have already updated and and implemented new mineral policies.

EIT Raw Materials has the ambitious vision of turning the challenge of raw materials dependence into a strategic strength for Europe.
