EIT RawMaterials – Expert Forum: Launch of the Exploration & Mining SIGN

Euromines will contribute to the EIT RawMaterials Exploration & Mining Expert Forum, taking place from 20–22 October 2026 in Seville, Spain, alongside the Mining and Minerals Hall (MMH), with two sessions featuring industry representatives from across our membership.

On 21 October, at 09:00–09:30 CEST, Enrique Delgado, President of  Aminer, will participate in “Transforming perceptions, securing supplies: Preparing Europe for a new mining era”.

The panel will discuss how Europe and its Member States can promote responsible mining through strong environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards, innovative technologies, supportive policies and meaningful community engagement. It will explore how building public trust can help mining deliver lasting benefits for local communities and European society.

At 10:10-10:50 CEST, Mark Rachovides, President Emeritus of Euromines, will moderate a panel featuring representatives from three Euromines member companies: Savannah Resources, Boliden Somincor and DPM Metals.

The forum will bring together industry representatives, policymakers, investors and researchers to discuss key challenges facing Europe’s exploration and mining sector, including permitting, investment, sustainability and social acceptance. The programme will also mark the launch of the new Exploration & Mining Strategic Impact Group Network (SIGN).
