Mine Closure 2013

When: Saturday, September 14, 2013 – 00:00 to Sunday, September 22, 2013 – 00:00
Where: Cornwall, UK

Mine Closure 2013 brings together industry experts from around the world to provide opportunities for networking, presenting research findings, and sharing best practice around minimising the environmental and social impacts of mine closure.

The conference is hosted by the Eden Project, a visitor attraction, educational charity and regenerated clay pit situated within the breath-taking landscape of the UK’s Cornish Mining World Heritage Site.

The programme – designed for professionals, from engineers to community engagement practitioners – incorporates three days of conference sessions as well as a weeklong schedule of related workshops and field trips within the county.

Mine Closure 2013 is part of the international series of conferences founded by The Australian Centre for Geomechanics. We are working with Cranfield University as our academic co-host.
