European Health and Safety Conference
The European extractive industry continues having a bad image with the EU policy makers when it comes to its health and safety performance despite the industry’s continuous efforts. We believe one of the reasons is the lack of knowledge and understanding on the side of the policy makers. 2016 will see the beginning of the revision of the EU health and safety legislation which will have a major impact on the extractive industry. It will see further negotiations on occupational exposure limit values for NO2 and NO as well as respirable crystalline silica.
The main aim of the conference will be to present the industry’s achievement in modern health and safety management. The conference presentations will provide examples from health monitoring to safety culture at the work place.
