After much urging by Prague and Berlin, UNESCO has officially added a new region to the list of World Heritage Sites. The region spans the border between Germany and the Czech Republic, and therefore, goes by more than one names: Erzgebirge in German, Krušnohoří in Czech and the Ore Mountains in English.

The Euromines Position Paper regarding the establishing the framework to facilitate sustainable investment (EU Taxonomy) is now available. As the recognized representative of the European metals and minerals mining industry, Euromines welcomes the Commission’s Sustainable Finance Action Plan for a greener and cleaner economy and agrees that a socio - economically efficient, sustainable and flexible financial system is essential for long-term value creation.

SUPRIM Practitioner stakeholder workshop on an enhanced LCA methodology for Resources took place on 22nd May 2019 in Berlin as a side session of the Raw Materials Summit 2019. The SUPRIM workshop focused on preliminary results of SUPRIM’s consensus-based search for an LCIA method for abiotic resource use, data concerns of researches, concerns and interests of practitioners and clients.
