Industry4Europe in action at the EU Industry Days 2019

The Industry4Europe Coalition will be presented at the EU Industry Days through Partners taking part in panel discussions and locally hosted events.  Partners will drive discussion on the need for a coherent industrial strategy from the EU, with Industry4Europe Manifesto and supporting publications including Indicators and Governance.

Industrial stakeholder workshop on an enhanced LCA methodology

The second SUPRIM workshop was organised on the 11th December 2018 in Brussels. SUPRIM stands for SUstainable management of PRIMary raw materials through a better approach in Life Cycle Sustainability Assessment. It is a 3 year-funded EIT Raw Materials Project that will offer solutions and services to address impacts of resource use in sustainability assessments in the raw materials sector. Euromines is a partner in the project and was the main organiser if this 1-day event.

BAT document for the Management of Waste from the Extractive Industries finalised

The European Commission has now finalised the Best Available Techniques document for the Management of Waste from the Extractive Industries, in accordance with Directive 2006/21/EC, abbreviated as MWEI BREF. This document is a review of the Reference Document for Management of Tailings and Waste-Rock in Mining Activities (MTWR BREF).

Industry4Europe coalition launches ambitious campaign: make industry a top European Commission priority

The Industry4Europe coalition, where Euromines is a member, has yesterday published a 'Joint Call to the candidates for the 2019 European Elections'. This Joint Call is available in 22 languages and is co-signed in every member state by both European and national associations representing industrial sectors from all branches of the economy.
