Mr. Rolf Kuby has an extensive experience in EU public affairs and advocacy. Next to engaging with EU policymakers on behalf of the industry and his active involvement in sustainability strategies, he is also a senior expert in EU Environment, Climate and Energy policies. Mr. Kuby's most recent roles were Head of the EU Brussels Office of Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl and previously Director External Affairs and Head of the EU office at Aurubis.

Dr. Veronika Sochorová is the Communications Director of Euromines. She has wide-ranging experience in communication activities related to the mineral raw materials industry on the national, European and international levels. With industrial experience in corporate communication in a large multinational company, she is now in charge of communication strategies and projects and she is responsible for Euromines’s brand and external communications. She holds a master’s degree in Communication and Media Studies and a post-graduation degree in Marketing Communication. Her goal is to raise awareness of the importance of metals and minerals for society.
Florian Anderhuber has gathered extensive experience in EU public affairs, both from a corporate angle as a manager and as the Head of Aurubis Representative Office in Brussels, as well as throughout the two years he has spent working as Assistant for a Member of the European Parliament. He has been leading Aurubis’ EU advocacy strategy, also managing its implementation, and engaging with key institutional stakeholders directly.Â
Kacper is an experienced EU Affairs professional including in the areas of Policy negotiations, Communications, Corporate Structure and Strategy. He worked in the public sector as a Diplomat, sherpa for policy coordination and Press Team leader under the Permanent Representative of Poland to the EU. He moved to the private sector, where he led a project team in a top-tier corporation, negotiating the inclusion of a business-critical technology standard in the EU laws. He also helped to implement corporate structure and communications/ advocacy strategy for a startup Polish Business Association in Brussels.
Cynthia Mestanza is an experienced Environmental Engineer with around 13 years of experience working in the field of Environment, Health & Safety. After graduating with a Master in Environmental Management, she started working at ENGIE Peru, where she lead the department of Environmental Affairs. Over the years, Cynthia has gained valuable experience in ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health & Safety commitments.
Fernando is a Spanish-British dual-national with a wide range of multicultural experiences behind him. After being introduced to the EU in Strasbourg and Poland for his Masters at the College of Europe, he arrived in Brussels in October 2021, and worked in multiple on multiple dossiers relating to EU environmental policy from different angles. Interested in the global implications of both the European Strategic Autonomy and the European Green Deal, he joined Euromines in January 2022. He is always eager to assist and accompany both the team and the members in any present and future endeavours they may encounter.
With more than 20 years of experience in secretarial/administrative field in different sectors, Azi has worked in private sectors such as import/export, hotel industry and in international associations. Her experience includes general administrative duties, office management and book-keeping. Azi joined Euromines in 2016 and she is in charge of administrative/organisational tasks and assists the Director in his daily requirements.
